About Dounia Bouadi and Feelings Ghost
Dounia Bouadi created Feelings Ghost from her work with children and families. It offers a playful, body-first way to notice feelings together.

The body knows first
Big feelings can show up as a physical sensation before a child has words for them. The Feelings Ghost Method follows three simple steps: Feel it. Name it. Help it. The conversation begins with what children notice in their bodies. Children notice a signal in the body, connect it to a possible feeling and find what helps.
Created through work with children and families
Dounia is a child and family educator, trained in Pedagogical Sciences at Leiden University. Her work with children and families inspired Feelings Ghost and activities for exploring everyday feelings at home, in the classroom and in practice. The same feeling can show up differently for different children, leaving room to explore what fits.
